Yesterday,
a Hummingbird fought
to escape to reality.
I caught it in my
fingertips.

Gently it watched me.
Childhood eyes
waiting for the future.

I showed it to my love.
She cried a blessing.
Together we sent
it buzzing.

Today we know joy.
